We've been following GroupMe since they initially launched in open beta way back in March. Somewhere in that time, Microsoft / Skype took great interest in their offerings and scooped them up in an acquisition. GroupMe, which offers free group text messaging and conference-calling services has rolled out version 2.0 of their BlackBerry app. With it being a milestone update for them, they've added quite a few new features to the already robust cross-platform service: In-app chat -  Send messages over your data connection, entirely within the app. Text as much as you want without hitting your SMS...

A few weeks ago we took our first look at the GroupMe beta for BlackBerry devices, and the response was quite overwhelming. The initial release was a public beta, but the folks at GroupMe have been beta testing a 2.0 release which is set to launch with a load of new features. In celebration of this update they have offered us 1,000 priority invites which will allow those users an early preview...
