Facebook for BlackBerry updated to v3.1.0.11 in the BlackBerry Beta Zone

If you're wanting to keep yourself up-to-date with the latest Facebook for BlackBerry beta releases, then you should head on over to the BlackBerry Beta Zone right now and grab the v3.1.0.11. This release has a whole laundry list of bug fixes over the previous release:
- Delete Prior Messages in Inbox leads to uncaught exception
- Unable to views comments
- With Wi-Fi only connection on BIS SN devices user should be able to view photos
- Likes count incorrect in Likes list if launched from stagnant comment screen
- Can not cancel selection via the 'back' button
- User photos mixed in FB message view
- Group name appears in the group wall
- Group Support : refresh of group wall is missing refresh animation
- Bad error message when posting on a Group without permission
- Groups are not translated in Hindi
- Finnish -Some missed translations on the Groups pages
- Accessibility: Status updates are not being read
- WiLAN event is not being processed correctly when radio is low or changed
- Removal of phone number request feature
- Update help URLs for Facebook 3.1
- Parser Error when I create comment with many returns between lines
- Remove welcome notification and message
- No ID for all the buttons in Facebook
- GCM icons are cutoff on low res devices

Using it now. Hope I get better notifications, especially for messages. So far don't see any difference.

I'm tempted to download the latest desktop software in the Beta Zone. Will that install as part of the current software? Or will it be like a separate program on my pc? Also, when the official release comes out will I be able to upgrade no problem or do I have to uninstall the Beta version first?

You will just have to upgrade but there have been exceptions once or twice in the past.

I gave up on notifications long ago. I just have facebook messenger installed and get notifications for new messages with that. It works well.

Hopefully this fixes the notifications // cause before I would never know I got a comment or anything unless I scrolled down tothe Facebook icon .. Thered be a red star notificstion on it, but not at the top of the homescreen & it wouldn't make any sounds either ..
Am I the only one?..

The update now enables users to post photos on friends' walls as well as tag other friends on a wallpost! :-)

I need Tamil Unicode support in facebook app..I dont get why Tamil Unicode works everywhere else in BB even in Twitter except in Facebook app
Missing it for a long time..
Also, facebook groups are not working..

i've been waiting for a full official release of the facebook app, seems this build is getting there but please RIM.. don't keep us waiting and trying the betas for too long, finalise it & release it officially!!!
