The BBM Challenge Council takes on browser speed with the Browser Speed Modulator
Amir and Streeter are back with another myth-busting video for the BBM Challenge Council. This time the two tackle the myth that the BlackBerry browser is slow. Using the Browser Speed Modulator and some help from Dax Shepard, the BlackBerry Bold 9900 is put through a series of browser tests. This video isn't my favorite of the bunch, but it's still pretty amusing. Check out the video above then hit the link below for more.

That was BY FAR the funniest! I see that more Celebrities are starting to get on board! Which is not only EXCITING but makes sense. It frustrates me that we only hear about iPhones, but if you look at Blogs & TV the majority of Celebs are rocking Blackberries. OBVIOUSLY because of the Messaging capabilities of Blackberry. WE ARE STILL RELEVANT! "Let's Rock n' Roll This!" LoL

Def one of the best bb commercials ive seen, i can appreciate the comedy as it keeps viewers interested. Dax isnt a huge celeb but at least people know who he is, especially the younger crowd. That being said, i wish rim the best, but i still dont feel like the actors are actually behind the product. Yes theyre endorsing it, but we know they are being paid, and the focus is on the comedy of dax, not the browser itself. There was no scenes of the checkerboarding or stalling that bb browser suffers from, but instead a flash forward to a fully loaded site. I get that this is an advertisement, and appl embellishes all the time, but apple has better customer satisfaction, and a general smoothness in UX that can make up for it , where as bb just appears to be lying to its already waning fanbase. This commercial is worth a few laughs, but it in no way entices me to sign a 2yr contract on an under supported DOA device.

Are you fucking kidding me? It's not a DOA device. Have some appreciation.

This is great! Loved it. Haven't seen any of the others, but, I give two big thumbs up!

Haha, that was good. Loved the left dog's reaction at the end when Dax took off on his motorcycle.

Sorry guys, this "footage" seems to be made rather for Android than BB fans. Where is an oldschool BlackBerry style in this commercial? When I was in high school, it could be fun. But I've already got my own credit card... So, is my beloved BBOS going to become soon BBSense?!

the blackberry browser being slow isn't a myth...
Rootbrian May 26, 2012 at 4:50 am
Javascript can slow it right down depending on the number of scripts and how complex they are.
It's fast in general.

Great example of the personality of BlackBerry. It's not about the fastest or the best, it's about the people that suport them and what BlackBerry stands for!
